The Following Guide is for creating a dual-boot system using Kalyway’s 10.5.1 boot DVD and a Windows XP install.
I wanted to be able to dual boot the new 10.5.1 install, but most of the tutorials already on the web are for Vista, which I don’t own.
So here is my Guide for Noobs on how to install 10.5.1 with XP.
Materials:
- Kalyway_Leo_10.5.1 DVD
- Windows XP Install
- Gparted Live CD
- A blank hard drive
Procedure:
Windows and Partition Set-Up
- The First thing you need to do is install Windows XP. When asked which partition to install XP to; delete all your existing partitions (Note: This will erase ALL your data! Make sure you have backups of important files.)
- Create a new Partition for XP that is more than 10 GB, but also make sure that your drive will have 10GB for the OSX partition we will create later. (Example: If I have a 40GB drive and I want 25GB to be XP, then I type 25000 into the box. That leaves me with 15GB to install OSX on.)
- I won’t sayhow to do the rest of the XP instal, because I assume most of you know how to already. (If you do need help, email me at jordan AT tv3wiki.com)
- Once you have a nice good install of XP open a command prompt by pressing Windows Key+R. Type “cmd” (withouth quotes) and hit enter.
- In the newly opened window, type diskpart.
- type select disk 0 (zero)
- type list partition
- You should now see a list that has all the partitons on your hard drive.
- type create partition primary id=af
- You should get a conformation that diskpart created a partition succsesfully.
- type list partition
- If you see a table that has two partitions, and one says unknown format, then you’re good! (skip to step 14)
- If not please email me at jordan AT tv3wiki.com for help.
- Now type select partition x Were “x” is the partition that has an unknown format.
- type active
- type exit and close the window.
OS X Install
- Now we get to the cooler part of the install. Put your Kalyway disk in your drive and restart your computer.
- If your computer boots back into XP, change your boot order settings to read from the DVD before the hard drive.
- when you get to the screen that says “starting Mac OS X installer”, press the F8 key on your keyboard.
- then type “-v” (no quotes) and hit enter.
- The DVD will now boot into the Installer for OS X. Be patient as this can take a while.
- After the installer starts up, hit the arrow and wait for the Welcome screen to pop-up.
- Now, before you hit continue, at the top of the screen click on the menu that says ‘Utilities’, then click on ‘Disk Utility’.
- When the disk utility comes up, you should see on the left side of the screen your hard disk.
- Select the partition that you are going to install OS X on. Make sure the partition you select is not your Windows
- partition. You can make sure of this by checking the file format of the partition in the bottom-left portion of the window.
- Once you have the correct partition selected press the tab that reads ‘Erase’.
- In the drop-down menu select ‘Mac OS X (Journaled)’ and name it something simple like ‘osx’ or ‘leo’. DO NOT use a “space” in the name or any other special characters such as % or &.
- Press Erase and press it again in the pop-up.
- Close out of the Disk Utility by clicking on the red button in the top left corner of the window.
- You’ll now see that you are returned to the Welcome screen. Click Continue and agree to the Licence.
- In the Installation destination screen select the partition you just made. Click Continue.
- Now click the customize button.
- At the bottom open up the sub-selection menu and de-select the bootloader for GUID. Then select the bootloader for MBR. This is the MOST important part of the entire install! If you do not select MBR, you will be stuck with a non-working install!
- Close the customization window.
- Click Install. (You can skip the media check if you wish.)
- At this point depending on the amount of RAM you have, and the speed of your processor, The install can take anywhere from 4 1/2 hours(512mb ram), to 15 min(1Gb ram).
Boot Loader Configuration
- After the Installation has completed, restart your computer with the Gparted Live CD in the drive.
- Press enter for all the defaults whenit asks. (Unless, of coarse, you have a different keyboard layout.)
- When the graphical interface is done loading, find your Windows partition (it will be formated as NTFS.) and click on it.
- Now right click it, and choose “Flags”
- Now place a check mark in the “boot” checkbox.
- Close the window, and click Exit. As your computer restarts, remove the Gparted CD from your drive and boot into XP.
- Once in XP open up My Computer and go into your C: Drive.
- If it says that the fles on this drive are protected, just click the continue button.
- In the Menu bar click Tools –> Folder Options
- Click the view tab in the new window.
- Check Hide protected System Files and Show Hidden Files and Folders.
- Now Close that window and go back to your drive. Open the file named boot.ini or just boot.
- copy this into the last line of text
C:\chain0="Mac OS X86" - Save and close the file.
- Put your Kalyway DVD in your drive.
- Copy the file called “chain0″ to your C: drive.
- Close and restart without the Kalyway in your drive.
Congradulations! You should now see an option to boot XP or Mac OSX 86! Choose which one you would like and boot.
If you are having trouble leave a comment and I’ll help!
EDIT: Unfortunatley, I have to close the comments for now. Don’t worry though they will be back soon, oh and I had to delete all the previous comments as well.
EDIT: Okay comments back. Hopefully no more spam messages.
See? The comments are back!

@olan: Go back and follow the directions very carefully. When you install XP, you only format the partition that will hold the XP install.
Here’s what you can do:
1. Go into the start menu and select run.
2. Type in the box “diskmgmt.msc” without quotes.
3. In the window that pops up, right click the partition that is NTFS, and select ‘delete partition’.
4. Go to step 4 of “Windows and Partition Set-Up”
Thank you for detailed guide. Could you please help me with this:
After selecting MAC OSX in bootloader it get this
Darwin/x86 boot v5.0.132
976 memory
Vesa v3.0 7MB
ATI RADEON 200 XPRESS
Then it shows options like
(hd,0) Windows NTFS
(hd,1) Mac OSX
and i selecet Mac OSX, i get apple logo screen, then plain silver screen and it hangs there.
I used Kalyway 10.5.2 cd on my P4 3.0Ghz ,1 gb ram
@Nilesh: Umm… I really don’t know. it might be nothing and the CD you used was just faulty a-bit. If you re-burn the disk on a low burning speed and then re-install, it might work.
Anyone else have ideas?
thanks… i will try it now…
Thanks Jordan!! just got my dell xps m1210 dual booting using your guide. Very easy to follow and went off without a hitch.
i still cannot see my IDE hdd..
can this mac install into IDE harddisk?
i’m also do exactly like u said.. did i have to do something in BIOS?
Hey Jordan,
U still around to help? I got a question for ya….
Thanks
@Gilbert: Your welcome!
@olan: IDE should work. When I tried it on one computer SATA didn’t work, but that was because of a BIOS problem. But yes IDE should work.
@Dusty: Yes. I am here. I can help.
Well I got good news, I got it working on my HP dv6500 Special Edition laptop!
So now when I turn the laptop on, i get the dual boot screen of…
Microsoft Windows XP Pro
”Mac OS X86”
When I click XP it loads instantly, but when I click the Mac it says 5 seconds to press any key. If I dont, it goes back to the main boot operating system screen. So when I click Mac, before 5 seconds it up, I press any enter, I get 2 choose between the 2 partitioned HD. I click the ”Mac OS X86” and Kalyway 10.5.2 OS X86 loads up!
I am just curious if ur does the same?
In the end everything seems to be working… Now I need to install all my software programs on XP and Kalyways.
One other question…
How can I back this up?? It took me hours to get this to work and now before I go installing software and applications, I would like to make a back up disc so if I crash the laptop (I always do haha) I can just insert the disc and BAM, have everything loaded and not have to go through all this hassle again. Any ideas????
THANKS!
Im gonna try using Windows XP back up utility located in the control panel, not sure how good it will work or if it backups everything…
There has to be a program or way I can make a backup bootable disc??
Thanks again.
Hello, I used your install guide, when I booted back into os x86, it sends me to a gray screen that says please reboot your mac. I have tried all boot flags, and they don’t help, I have an intel sse2 (not nforce).
I have done all of you said, but, it don’t loads OSX and I can’t see what is happening. Can you help me?
Does this also work with Vista?
Are there any problems if I install OSX on another HD than Microsoft OS?
How can I update my Leo installation to the latest version?
Thanks
Having some trouble with the part of the installation right after booting to the disk. After I boot to the disk type the -v command and the process starts after about 20 seconds the process stops and doesnt progress. I waited about 40 minutes, the important line of text that looks like it might indicate the error says:
Extension “com.apple.driver.acpi_smc_platformplugin” has immediate dependencies on both com.apple.kernel and com.apple.kpi components; use only one style
I should let you know I’m using the 10.5.2 kalyway disk. If you could let me know if it is normal to stop at this point for so long or let me know what might be going on that would be great! Thanks for the help.
Well I used Acronis Image and Norton Ghost to make a backup image, hopefully they work when needed haha
Hey Jordan….
Harsha here…
Thanks for ur efforts..
I would like a great help from you…
My MoBo is an Intel DG965RY
HDD - SATA 250 and SATA 500
RAM - 1 GB
Graphics - Nvidia 8500 GT
I used many Leopard and Tiger discs and none worked for me…
I tried many things..
I would require ur help so that i can get the Mac OS installed on my computer
I got this computer with the sole reason of running 10.5 on it..
Please help me…..
Hey, I installed Kalyway 10.5.1 in my Dell VOSTRO 1400 N Series.
It got installed properly, and also went into the boot loader, where it was counting down from 5 seconds.
I let it go, and a screen came and stayed there saying :
You must restart your computer. Press and hold SHUTDOWN button or press the RESTART button.
(This message was also written in different languages)
This error is in a loop. I restart, and again I get this screen. Now, I am unable to boot into XP. I went to boot into XP, it showed the boot screen, and then on the welcome screen, it didn’t show me the username at all where I could enter the password. So, XP also gone.
PLEASE HELP!
Thanks
@Pragith: I have the same problem. When I start up it first loads and then says YOU HAVE TO RESTART YOUR COMPUTER in different languages. I tried to reboot about 10 times but it doesn’t help.
I tried both GUID and MBR with Vanilla and without!
Please Jordan help!
Hi Jordan.
First thanks a herd for helping me out in getting XP and Leopard dually installed in my Compaq nx7300. Everything is fine and all the applications are running.
So I have two mini-questions here:
-How can I run Time Machine?
-Can I repair permissions for Windows drive and the shared one to write on them? Actually I am in a great pain as I can’t write to the shared drive. Does formatting it into FAT32 solve the problem?
Thanks and thanks for your kind help to this desperate situation!
@Pragith/@p! If you have dual core processors then surely you will get that problem. Press F8 and then cpus=1 -v while your Leopard is booting and it should boot now.
And if even you don’t have Dual Core and getting the above problem, then maybe your processor is incompatible. Also make sure to install SS2 system if you have SSE2 and processor.
@Dusty I have the same question
Guys, I am updating you live whatever is happening with my install now :-
@Supratim
Thanks for your reply.
I have Core 2 Duo processors. I used the command which you said while booting :-
-cpus=1
Didn’t use -v because it just shows me the messages which I don’t want now.
After that, it didn’t show me that “You must restart…” box, and started loading with an Apple’s logo. And instead of the cursor, that rainbow colored loading cursor comes in a while or so and disappears. It is taking so much of time. My laptop’s “CPU Busy LED” is blinking at times.
Will update you shortly
Wow guys… I leave for two days and tis is what I come back to? lol j/k.
I can g through all of this tomorrow and try to help… But I’m going to bed now.
@Supratim: It doesn’t help: I have an Dual Core E6750.
CPU-Z and his website http://www.techpowerup.com/cpudb/459/Intel_Core_2_Duo_E6750.html say that it has sse3.
What can I do?
IIs there any problem because I installed osx on a different hd than ms os?
Thanks
Please help Jordan!!
Thanks!
Hi Jordan,
I get the error ‘Still waiting for root device’. (for Kalyway 10.5.2)
Confg-
Intel c2d e6400
ASUS P5N32-ESLI (nforce 680i)
250GB SATA HD
I think the problem is with my SATA HD.But there is no provision to change the SATA HD to Ahci mode in the bios.
Is there any SATA - AHCI patch?
wow now it works!!!
just type
-x
when “you have to restart” error appears!!!
Anyway, Jordan, how can I update to the latest version?
@Dashvader! Try typing cpus=1 while you boot if you encounter what you said while booting from the DVD.
And make sure you haven’t installed any version of os x that time.(Your hard disk should be clean!)

hey,
I just started the firewall settings and found out that the firewall wasn’t activated while I was online. it isn’t activated by default.
Do I have to fear a virus or something now???
Thanks
Hey,
The following things aren’t working when I try to boot into my installed Kalyway 10.5.1
1) cpus=1
2) cpus=1 -v
3) -x
Please help! I am really losing hope!
does anybody know how to update my 10.5.1. to 10.5.4.?
And what do I have to do with don’t steal - thing (i read in a forum)
Thanks
When I try cpus=1, I get the Apple’s loading screen, and it keeps on loading infinitely, I waited for around 30 minutes, but all in vain.
Please answer my following questions :
1) What parameters (commands like cpus, -v, -x, etc) should I use when I press F8 to install Kalyway?
2) While customizing the install, what all should I choose? (I have Core 2 Duo, and Intel’s onboard graphics)
3) After installation, what all parameters I should use? (I used cpus=1 which gave me that loading screen, rest all give me the “You must restart” screen)
Thanks
@Pragith! From what you said previously about the cursor and the failure of cpus=1 I should ask you to check your hard-disk. I am not sure though.
HELP!!!
I can’t update to 10.5.2 or 10.5.4!!!
I used this guide http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=87078&st=0
Thanks for help
p
Jordan, where are you?
We all need your help!
hi everybody, well i’m from Argentina so i don’t use english as my first language, so sorry if i say something in a wrong way.
Well i have a P4 531 3.06GHz w/HT, 512MB ram 400mhz, and a mobo gigabyte with intel chipsets. but i don’t remember the model, i thing is i818some but i’m not sure.
I’ve been using Tiger for a while, and then i tried to update to 10.4.11 but, not from 10.4.5 and that was a bad idea so my tiger died. After that i’ve been trying to install Leopard, i downloaded the kalyway 10.5.2 version and followed this steps.
during the installation i could not find the option to choose MBR or GUID so i continued without choosing this, the installation finished.
Everything was doing great I thought, when i reinstalled my pc, the darwin boot loader was set up, i don’t know if it was there from the tiger version or waht but i did not have to do the bootloader part.
Leopard loads, but, in some part it says (i don’t know what…) killing all proceses and it reboots and that’s it.
Anybody knows why this is happening?
Sorry, i know that i wrote a lot.
Thank you!
@Wsh: You have to set your HD to MBR.
go to Utilities > DiskUtilities
select your Leo HD and click the erease tab
click setup or something (I don’t know anymore) and select MBR instead of GUID
It should work then.
If it doesn’t help type
-x
at startup.
i have to install leopard again or i can just change that?
@Wsh: You have to reinstall because you have to format the HD.
@all: I’ve now running 10.5.4! Thanks to everyone! jordan you#re awesome!
wow great, have you XP too?
i was trying yo install it on a partition, but now i’m going to format the entire HD and then try to install XP and Leopard thank you p
I’m using Vista and I have Leopard on a different HD.
I’m so happy that this all worked after 3 days and about 15 reinstalls
Plz, Jordan !!
@Supratim: ummm… Time Machine is not going to work, i don’t think. And yes I think you will need it to be FAT32.
OK, thank you so much for that!!
And abt the Time-Machine: I may use an external HD formatted into one drive I think!
Is it possible?
@p! You will first have to update 10.5.1 to 10.5.2 then 10.5.3 then 10.5.4 and so on.
hi jordan how can i make windows xp the primary selection if i dont select anything on the bootloader?
@Supratim: I already run 10.5.4 Thanks!
You have to format an external HD for TimeMachine! It’s not possible to use an windows formated drive…
Does this answer your question?
Thanks, p for the info!
Hi, Thanks for the guide ut im having some trouble. After i do everything it says ntldr is missing when i try to boot into Xp. When i boot into leopard it is fine. Can you please help me? Thanks
Hi,
Thank you so much for this guide it was extremely useful

I could do with some help though
I’m absolutely lost at:
# Now Close that window and go back to your drive. Open the file named boot.ini or just boot.
# copy this into the last line of text C:\chain0=”Mac OS X86″
# Save and close the file.
Is it meant to look like this?:
_______________________________________
[boot loader]
timeout=30
default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WIN64
[operating systems]
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WIN64=”Microsoft Windows XP Professional” /noexecute=optin /fastdetect
C:\chain0=”Mac OS X86″
_______________________________________
Also, at:
# Put your Kalyway DVD in your drive.
# Copy the file called “chain0″ to your C: drive.
# Close and restart without the Kalyway in your drive.
I don’t see any file called chain0 in the Kalyway DVD, I see cdboot.pcefi.debug and boothelp.txt. Probably being very n00bish but would be greatful for advice
THank you!
use boot camp on mac os x leopard!!!!
easy explanation and easy steps..
its works smoothly in my dell vostro laptop. now i running winxp with os selection mac osx.
great thanks
Hey guys.
My install did get stuck at
“Still waiting for root device”
but I got around this with:
-v -x platform=x86PC
Now, the install carries on, but hangs again at:
”
Kernel Version:
Darwin Kernel Version 9.1.0: Sat Nov 17 02:56:34 SCT 2007; made by ToH:xnu-1228.0.2~1/BUILD/obj/RELEASE_I386.”
That’s where I’m stuck now. And I can’t boot back into XP either… unless I can with GParted.. But the Kernel Version message is priority atm. Lol.
Thanks Jordan.
First of all, awesome guide.
I would like to dual boot Windows XP and Kalyway Leopard 10.5.2.
Your guide was pretty much the same as OSX86’s ( http://wiki.osx86project.org/wiki/index.php/Installation_Guides/Kalyway_DualBoot_10.5.2 ), except for step 18. Did OSX86 miss something, or is Step 18 just a 10.5.1 bug?
Well, i want to have a mac on my brother’s machine.
he has an AMD Athlon 64 3800+, single core, he already
have a XP installed (with 74 GB already taken),
he has one drive - and something like 14 GB free space.
i have to questions:
1. can you guide me about how to partition without having
to reinstall my XP?
2. he has only 448 MB RAM is it even possible to install the
OSx86 on it?
thanks,
@ben: an AMD processor will not work with this guide, and no you need more RAM
hi i am new to this whole mac on pc deal and i was trying to install kalyway 10.5.1 on my dell computer and i get to the darwin screen i hit F8 and then type -v it goes through the scrolling text and then before the next screen it just reboots..so i try using leo4all v3 and it goes through like 6 lines of text then it reboots also can you help me?
@dusty: The Gparted disk should have a tool on it called partimage. It will make an exact image of your disk MBR and all which you can burn off on to disc (it even can split the image into DVD sized chunks if it’s more than you can fit on one). Then when you want to go back to year zero you can just reverse the process - it can then restore the entire partition from the image files. I use this for my regular reinstalls of XP, from an image I made of a fresh install that had all my drivers and Litestep and so on set up.
My question is, what happens if you’ve already got grub installed? I have XP and Ubuntu and I use Grub to choose. Will I have to reinstall Grub after installing OSX?
Can I do the boot.ini thing in Windows before installing Mac OsX ?
And set the Boot Flag with Partition Magic …
(save mounting the NTFsDrive in a LiveCD)
Is it possible?
Hi
Thanks for the guide. My installation got stuck after
the screen seems to hang here

Thank you so much for your help.
heyy dude…
there’s a small issue…
i did what you told.. and now there are two options in the OS selection menu.. but the thing is… when i select OSX.. it refreshes and comes to the selection again..
can you help me out a bit?
thanks
Works perfectly on Dell D600 - thanks!
i followed your guide but it didnt work…
From step 13 of OSX Install… i have got an error on erasing the disk.
guys/gals,
it sounds like a number of you have issues with hardware compatibility. You should really research the hardware in your system against the HCLs (hardware compatibility lists) on the osx86 site before you blindly try to install this thing. usually when the install freezes it means something like there is a hardware incompatibility and the line it freezes on tells you which piece it is if you look into it.
for example i just decided to build a leopard rig, i spent a few days going through the lists and identifying the parts that worked in my budget so i should get a system that works out of the box. there are a number of patches which can be found in the osx86 forums which should solve your problems, or you will need to replace the non-working hardware… simple as that.
the first dual boot osx86 i built didn’t work as i had it set up and i ended up having to get a new dvd drive. so i swapped it out (after researching on the HCLs…), and magically i got a flawless install the next time i put the disc in.
it’s tough but its the risk you take going this route. just buy an apple if you want it so badly! and do some research yourself instead of bugging this poor guy with all your questions that you could find an answer to in 10 minutes with a little bit of effort instead of sitting around for days waiting for an answer from someone else…
hi,
the kalyways is installing but I get
EBIOS read error: Device timeout
Block 8908312 sector 64
it’s continues to load but after a few lines, i get the error again..
Is this a bad burn or normal?? I don’t know what this means
i have installed kalyway 10.5.2 evrithing is working fine but i have a wierd problem my mouse is slow well not working properly i read on a forum that u have to use a usb mouse so i took my sisters but the problem is still there then people told me that i should select the vanilla kernel which has ps/2 mouse support but i have a dual core which means that i can’t use that kernel
Hi,
When I press “-v” just after i booted from the dvd it just shows error message after error message.. what does this mean? I tried to burn it two times so I dont thing that is the problem…
This guide worked perfect for me.
I have a Asus P5LD2 with 2,4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo.
4GB Ram, Asus EN7600GT grpahics card and 320GB Seagate SATA HD.
Sony DVD-RW (AW-G170A) and Sony DVD-ROM (DDU1615).
Gparted didn’t work for me for fixing the Bootloader stuff.
The program didn’t start normally.
Luckily I had an old CD with Partition Magic that did the trick.
Regarding setting the OSX partition as active from XP, you don’t need to use CMD. Also for creating the partition.
This can easily be done from Disk Management (Right click “My Computer” and choose “Manage”. Then Select “Disk Managment”.)
Had to use NvInject for the GPU, and AppleHDApatcher for the onboard Audio. (The sound codec needed is for ALC882).
Onboard LAN, USB and everything works like a charm.
Only issue I have is that when I choose to boot into OSX and let the Darwin thingy time out, it brings me back to the dualboot menu.
The solution is to press a key during the Darwin thingy and then choose which partition you want to boot from.
So, thanks alot for this very fine OSX release.
So… It seems I Forgot to figure out that Darwin time-out thingy…. I’ll write a complete tut. on it soon, but @SNole is right. You just need to press a key before it times-out because the default is to boot back into the NTFS partition (Windows), which is why it goes back to the first screen.
On another note, the reason I’ve stopped answering e-mails and comments is because I no longer have a machine I can test on… I’ve had to give it back to the school I go to… But not to worry, I’ll get a new one soon and will start writing tutorials again…
Unfortunately, I’m out of money… (I actually just bought a mac book…) so if you could *cough* click on the ads…… that would be appreciative…
Wow Jordan, you want to know something really weird. I came around here looking for a way to install Leopard on PC, and have it dual boot and by far yours looks like one of the best. One simple question though do we still need that Leopard download for TV3.
@Garrett C. haha! wow… for everyone else, I go to school with this guy… No We don’t need one… I have a disk now, it came with my macbook so we should be okay.
hey, im thinking to buy a pc with this spec,
MODERBOARD :ASUS S775 IG31 DDR2 SATA2 GBLAN 6-CH
PROCESS: INTEL Q6600 CORE2QUAD 2.4GHZ S775
RAM: Corsair DHX 4096M Kit DDR2
HARDrive:DIAMONDMAX10 250GB DMA1SATA2
DVD Burner: NEC 7200 DVD+-RW DL
grafic card:Palit PCIe 8800GT (nivida geforce) Super 512MB DDR3 DVI
LAN (network)10/100/1000BASE-T
USB 2.0: 4 USB 2
my ask is if it will run dual leopard and xp if i am correct follow your guide.
other asks.
should i make a partition before i come to this step?
Procedure:
Windows and Partition Set-Up
4.

Hey. Great guide but i’m having problems….. i followed the guide to put in the Kalyway disk and reboot but while rebooting, after it says CD/DVD Boot, it says “error loading operating system”. I’ve tried changing primary boot to CD drive and everything but still not working…..
Any Ideas?
Thsnks, Brent
@Jordan
I would love to do this you know Jordan, its just I can never remember to go out and buy a blank dvd.
Also simple question if I install this what would happen if they want me to update it.
Hey man. Disregard earlier post. Turns out the DVD was faulty. Followed the rest of your guide and now works fine.
Just 2 small problems
- I can’t find any ps2 keyboard support. This means i have to use the ps2 keyboard to choose which boot and switch to usb keyboard in leopard.
- The other problem is i can’t find any driver support for creative sound blaster XFI extreme audio.
Any help would be nice but other than that, GREAT WORK!
Btw….
My OSX is recognized as Mac Pro.
Speedstepping isn’t working. Is there any way to make OSX
use the Intel Core 2 Duo’s speedstepping?
Seems like a waste to let the CPU work @ full speed all the time.
In Windows this is no problem to enable.
I kinda like that the CPU runs @ 1.59GHz instead of 2.4GHz when the OS doesn’t need all that CPU power.
A million thanks for your advice. I followed it step by step and you know what? It works like a marvel. Now I can enjoy the simplicity of using both W XP and Mac OS.
Excellent job and than ks again.
